Looking at two different Intel Wolfdale. A slight upgrade for my HTPC.

So, I was busy with my HTPC trying to keep the power consumption as low as possible but doesn’t want to sacrifice the performance too much. At least it can handle 1080p 10bit video. I know that 4K is more future proof. However, the lack of 4K contents for now makes me think twice to purchase the parts needed, Continue reading

No word about GPU Boost on the this card. But even without GPU Boost, this card seems very promising when it comes to performance. Hardware.info has tested this card in Battlefield 3 and its performance seems to be faster than NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan. The raw compute performance of this card reach 8.2 TFLOPS. A significant improvement compared to Radeon HD 6990 released in 2011 which able to deliver 5.099 TFLOPS. For other comparison, PS4 GPU was said to deliver 1,84 TFLOPS. That means Radeon HD 7990 can deliver 4.45 times performance of PS4 GPU!

We will see more benchmark results on April 24, 2013.
